About VoIP

VoIP is often referred to as IP telephony, internet telephony or internet calling. VoIP stands for voice over internet protocol. VoIP is an alternative for PSTN which is a public switched telephone network. VoIP phone systems are a way of transmitting voice calls over IP networks. It makes calls by using an internet connection rather than a landline.  

VoIP has many benefits that could give your business an advantage: the costs savings VoIP offers, VoIP is very flexible, allowing you to access calls anywhere you have an internet connection – such as the office, home or mobile. VoIP also comes with many features such as voicemails, caller ID, call forwarding, automated menu, and conference calling, which can allow you to have a fast response time with regarding call backs, answering calls and provides your business with a professional aspect for response time and follow up calls.

Modern technology has made internet based calling the new way to communicate due to the recent advancements making the standard means of communication more reliable, consistent, and dependable. VoIP is a straightforward, easy phone system which is suitable for anyone. In 2025 there will be a nationwide ISDN switch off due to this form of technology being withdrawn, so from 2025 all systems will rely on VoIP.

VoIP systems work by turning voice waves into digital signals and converting them to IP packets through your internet connection to the receiving party which converts them to audio waves. VoIP systems are flexible and can provide a business with all its need, even if your business is big or small.
